Will there be any holes put in my walls or conduit running on the walls and ceiling?
NO, our technology allows us to use the existing electrical wiring so no new construction is required. There will be four holes as seen here where we mount the unit.
How long will a technician be in my unit to install this product?
One of our installers will be in your unit for 5-10 minutes. A hard wired job might require multiple trips into your unit and sometimes 3-4 hours or work.
Is your product going to protect me and my family as well as conventional systems?
Definitely. Our sound level is over 12 dB louder than required by code and our devices are mounted right into your bedroom. Other companies may only put horns in the outer corridors which is much quieter when you are sleeping.
What happens if an In Suite Device is removed from the AC receptical?
The Main Control Panel will indicate a trouble, which will cause a trouble condition on the Fire Alarm Control Panel. In the event the Fire Alarm Control Panel is monitored, the Central Monitoring station will alert the appropriate authority(ies)
Will my device ever beep or make noise?
If your device is emitting a loud noise you must exit the building.
What does it mean if the lights are flashing?
A steady green light means the device is working optimally, it may blink amber during install or if the system recognizes a trouble in the system and in the event of a Fire Alarm it will turn steady red. When the light is steady red evacuate the building immediately.
Can I move my device to another receptacle?
Please contact your building manager to contact a certified installer before moving any devices.
Can I paint my device to match my decor better?
No, It is against code to paint the device
Can I get more devices for additional rooms to better protect my family?
Yes, additional devices can be ordered and purchased through your building manager at an cost.
Can I test to see if my device is working properly?
Yes, we recommend to test your device monthly. Press the button on the front of the device to assure that the device is working. The buzzer will sound and if the device is equiped with a strobe, it will flash. If you discover any problems please report them to your building manager.
Will the device work in the event there is a power failure?
The device will work for 24 hours in standby and 30 minutes in Alarm situations.
